Nevada County Community Gardens Network

The Nevada County Community Gardens Network is a group of people gardening, sharing wisdom and resources, and producing food for themselves and others on land that is donated by private and public landowners.

We are committed to produce more food on the land in this county for the purpose of food security, in view of the possibility of high food prices and shortages developing when energy supplies decline in the future.

We are also committed to a rollicking good time while doing so, with regularly scheduled dinners, get-togethers, work-sharing events, and fun classes for adults and children.

We are especially interested in the participation of children, knowing that their connection with nature, and good nutrition from wholesome, naturally grown food, is essential to their development into healthy, well-balanced adults.

We invite you to join us in making Nevada County's neighborhoods places of connection and sustainable living - neighborhoods with heart.
